Fifty years of experience in working with light
We have almost 50 years of experience in working with light.In 1958 we were a small manufacturer of lamps and chandeliers known as Harvey Creazioni. Today, we lead the technical lighting sector in Italy and rank among the first five European companies in this field.
Our total commitment to lighting includes systems for urban furniture, services, museums, commercial spaces and reception facilities. These are the main facts of our history.
8th April 1967: registration of the trademark Harvey Guzzini DH (Design House) di Raimondo Guzzini and brothers. Giannunzio handles the production side, technology and research into lighting design.
1968: on the occasion of the XIVth Milan Triennale, in collaboration with Massoni, an articulated system of urban “furnishing” was developed – an anticipation of the public design movement – for the historic centre of Pavia.
1973: the petrol crisis: the cost of plastics triples, making many products uneconomical. Among these, the “Doma” furnishing line, which is abandoned despite its high quality and aesthetic content.
It is decided to restructure the company from the point of view of its partnership, organisation and manufacturing facilities.
26th October: inauguration of the new iGuzzini (Raimondo Guzzini and brothers) facility at Recanati, Sambucheto 44/a, SS77, Km 102.
31st December|foundation of iGuzzini Spa.
