The Company has showrooms located at both the Guildford & Glasgow offices. The showrooms not only show products, but also demonstrate basic lighting design concepts and portrays the basic fundamental elements of light. Both showrooms also house SIVRA, the electric daylight fitting which can produce artificial light from any weather pattern around the world, i.e. grey winter days to sunny summer days.
The UK is proud to have worked on some prestigious buildings - the Millennium Dome, Wembley, Twickenham, Heathrow, Manchester & Stansted Airports, Glaxo SmithKline Beecham (European headquarters), Tower Place (New GLC building), Commonwealth Stadium (Manchester), the Greenwich Interchange, Farnborough Business Park etc., are all illuminated by iGuzzini.
The UK subsidiary is wholly owned by the mother company in Italy and the United Kingdom is the second largest market for iGuzzini outside of Italy with a turnover of £21 million in 2010.
iGuzzini is one of Europe's largest luminaire suppliers into the retail sector due to having subsidiaries, rather than just agents all over Europe including France (therefore giving localised service for international retailers) and more importantly, utilising harmony of the fact that the products are certified for use in most major markets.
The iGuzzini name is generally known to architects and the more design conscious in the UK, yet the company is 80 years old and one of the largest and most prestigious lighting consultancies in Europe. Many companies have taken advantage of this due to the fact that we are fully compliant with all European and local safety and quality standards and are able to offer full factory support at a local level.
You may not always notice lighting in some of the greatest retail stores in the land but if you were to study the systems in such brands as Harrods, HMV, Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury's, Disney, Tesco, Topshop, Porsche, Starbucks, Boots, House of Fraser, Pizza Express, Honda and B&Q you would find them all to be by iGuzzini.
In July 2008 iGuzzini UK moved into their new headquarters in Guildford, Surrey.
